Any matters submitted by electronic means outside our office hours will only be received and processed when our office staff resume work again. This means that the submission will be deemed to have been submitted and received only at that time.

4. Submission of e-invoices
All important information on submitting e-invoices to the offices of the State of Styria can be found under E-Invoicing - Administration - State of Styria.

In accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Office of the Styrian Provincial Government, the Tourism Unit is primarily responsible for the following areas:
- Styrian Tourism Act - implementation and enforcement of the Styrian Tourism Act 1992 (as amended), supervision of tourism associations, and acting as the competent authority for the assessment and collection of tourism stakeholder contributions.
- Commercial tourism funding - including complementary funding for Austrian federal support programmes, grants for consultancy costs, the State of Styria's Innovation Programme for the tourism industry, project grants, and special funding initiatives.
- Non-commercial tourism funding - including general tourism funding for the non-commercial sector, support for regional cooperation, and funding for tourism-related film projects.
- General tourism legislation and policy - including the development of tourism strategies and policy frameworks, preparation of expert opinions on tourism matters, and coordination with the Styrian Tourism and Regional Marketing Ltd. (Steirische Tourismus und Standortmarketing GmbH).
The unit also carries out inspections to ensure the correct and complete collection of the overnight stay tax (tourist accommodation levy) in coordination with Department 4 - Finance, which is responsible for shared provincial taxes.
